Best Kept Secret:
New GENEALOGY Class

Jim Green has agreed to instruct this year. He has a long history in working with youth as a Varsity Coach, a Bishop, the Stake Presidency and is currently the Stake Family History Coordinator.

Classroom Changes

To accommodate fluctuations in demand for various classes, we will occasionally move classes to larger or smaller rooms. To ensure accuracy in your room schedule, be sure to check for changes before the start of classes.

Reserved Seating

Scouts registering will reserve actual seats in a classroom for that hour. This will prevent over-/under-enrollment. For this reason, every scout should bring with him a printout of his schedule to verify each class.

Print Out Your Class Schedules

Don't get lost in the crowd. Take a printout of your schedule with you. For a map of the building, click here.

Adult Leader Training

Training is offered for the adults during the Clinic, so they don't have to loiter in the hallways. See rooms 101, 102,103, 105

Committee Challenge

Buddy Discipline

With scouts being able to choose their classes together, boys from the same unit are attending classes together more often. Please remind your scouts that this will require greater discipline on their part, to be courteous, even though they are with their friends.

New Scouts

To help ensure a good first experience for younger scouts, boys under the age of 12, should be accompanied by a scout leader or parent. One adult may accompany a patrol.

Cost

There may be a small charge to cover materials for some classes. Other than that, attendance is FREE. Facilities are donated and labor is volunteer. There is no budget for this event, so please bring your own blue cards and merit badge booklets.

Merit Badge Midway

Midways are a great way for scouts to meet with a counselor one-on-one to work on those badges that are otherwise too involved for a classroom setting. A number of Midway counselors will be standing by to help boys with all the Eagle-required badges, as well as other badges. Scouts may sign up for Midway, just as if they were signing up for a specific class.

Indoor Ceremonies

Flag ceremony starts at 8:45 a.m. This year all gatherings will be inside the Cultural Hall (gym).

Uniforms Required

All scouts are asked to wear uniforms to the Clinic. In this way we hope to improve Scout Spirit and the general atmosphere of the program.
